  1. Open your device Settings
  2. Factory reset might be located in on of two sections within the settings:
    1. Select the Privacy settings, and scroll down to Factory reset
    2. Select the Backup and reset settings, and scroll down to Factory reset
  3. Tap Reset device to delete all data and restore you device’s factory settings
    1. If you want to erase all of the data on you SD card as well, check the box at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Confirm the process by selecting Erase everything

If the device doesn’t boot at all, please follow these instructions:

  1. Power down your device
  2. Press and hold the recovery buttons (this step varies per device) Some common combinations:
    1. Volume Up + Home + Power
    2. Volume Down + Power
    3. Home + Power
  3. Select Factory reset with de volume down / up buttons. Press ok with the camera button or the home button
  4. Wait for the restore process is completed.
